Tarantino calls himself a longtime fan of the CBS series, and he proves it with this fifth-season finale. He not only directed with precisely the right amount of visual flair and imagination, but also suggested the story, which is full of touches reflecting a deep awareness and appreciation of the two CSI forensic teams.
