first place yankees...

what a game. 6 and third innings of perfection followed by a little nail biting followed by a yankee win. couldn't wait to get the papers this morning. just a perfect red sox game. they get real down on themselves and then slowly start to crawl back. instead of taking their beating quietly they claw all the way back. the team is on the top step believing it can steal one from the mighty yanks just to get kicked in the groin once again. almost worse than just losing 8-0. shilling was sweet and manny is a monster in left field. also did godzilla really have 5 rbi? he got a couple of those on really tough pitches too. nice job by bernie in the eighth to really step on the sox's throats. and, of course, the sandman was lights out.
