I dont know anything about Bonds' big head, but Mac Fu - I lived on W. 64th when I first moved to the city after college. It's right behind Lincoln Center, and there are some projects (do we still call them that?) right there. It's not bad, but not great either. You do feel a little isloated back there. I think Trump built some big thing on 64th and West End since then, so maybe it's better now?
I do remember there were no good grocery stores nearby, but that's a problem almost everywhere in the city.

I work at 59th and 8th. The whole area is being revitalized right now, with TWC and new trump buildings. 9th ave has some good restaurants. The projects K-Dog speaks of are there but they are becoming upscale if there is such a thing. If I wasnot such an UES wasp I might move to this neighborhood
