Andrew Strauss raced to his hundred and Andrew Flintoff to his fifty as England stepped on the accelerator after tea on day one of the deciding Ashes Test.

Flintoff hit Shane Warne for three successive fours which took the partnership into triple figures.

Strauss then clubbed his 13th boundary to reach 100 for the seventh time in Tests and the second this series.

Warne had single-handedly reduced England to 131-4 before England's fifth-wicket duo took over.
