another sfc update for reggie...
i sort of respect the guy for traveleing down to l.a. just to get booed.
LOS ANGELES — When he first reported to spring training in February, Barry Bonds said he couldn't wait to hear the cacophony of boos at Dodger Stadium. He wasn't kidding.
Bonds smiled broadly, raised both arms and took off his cap to the crowd when he was introduced as part of the Dodgers' opening-day pregame ceremonies.
The response was predictable. Chants of "Barry Sucks" endured into the game, even though Bonds was nowhere to be seen.
It's customary for all players on both teams, even those on the disabled list,
to be introduced at home openers. Giants officials said Bonds not only agreed to stand alongside his teammates but insisted upon it.
