The freshman Chris Bourque, the son of the Hall of Famer Ray Bourque, shoveled in a backhander 5 minutes 50 seconds into overtime after the second of two shots by Bryan Miller drifted out in front of the Northeastern goal.

Bourque was named the tournament's most valuable player.
