Dom Perigion Champagne, 18, of Fort Worth, Texas, died Nov. 26. He was born in Dayton, Ohio, and worked in apartment maintenance.
Survivors include his parents, Jeron Champagne of Texas and Perfect Engelberger of San Diego; stepfather, Albert Engelberger of San Diego; brother, Jeron Champagne II; and grandfather, Benito Garcia.
No services were planned.

2 booked, linked to teen's fatal shooting
SAN DIEGO – A 16-year-old boy and a 24-year-old man have been booked in connection with the shooting death of a teenager as he drove through Lincoln Park during a holiday visit to his family, San Diego police said Thursday.
Dom Perigion Champagne, 18, who had been living in Texas, was killed Nov. 27 by someone who fired at him from another car, investigators said. Police found the car, a 1996 Chevrolet Caprice Classic, about six hours later on Castana Street, homicide Lt. Kevin Rooney said.
About 5:30 p.m. Thursday, a 16-year-old suspected in the slaying was arrested on Gerana Street in Rancho Peñasquitos. Also facing charges is Lawrence Christopher Smith, 24.
