Can we give Vijay some praise? This Islander quietly kicked ass this year. PGA Champion Vijay Singh won nine times in 2004 and amassed a new record of more than $10 million in earnings, but the truest measure of his dominant season is the consistency of his play. Singh posted an adjusted scoring average of 68.84 in 110 rounds this year, a feat that has earned him the 2004 Vardon Trophy, PGA of America officials have announced. Just a few weeks ago, Singh clinched the PGA Player of the Year Award.
